Alastair Stewart

Session Clerk

Alastair is the most recent in a long line of notable Session Clerks serving the congregation of Davidson's Mains Parish Church.

Brought up in Glasgow, he has a life-time of teaching behind him.  He joined the congregation in 1965 when he moved from the west to take up a post here in Edinburgh.

He assumed the role of Session Clerk in 1989 and since then has overseen considerable change in the life of the church. He has been retired now for some eight years or so - which maybe explains why he has lost none of his enthusiasm and energy!
