Dan was born in Greenock and raised in Glasgow and Inverness.  He is a son of the manse, a middle child and as a teenager he did not think very much of the Jesus that his parents lived for. Dan studied Business Economics at Paisley University. He then left Scotland seeking fame and fortune. At the age of twenty six life changed dramatically as he was confronted by the reality and goodness of Jesus.

After giving his life to Jesus, Dan sensed God calling him to 'bring people to Jesus'. He also sensed God calling him to the Church of Scotland. Dan spent time training with YWAM at his home church, the Barn Church of Scotland in Inverness. It was here he met his wife to be Stef. At home and abroad Dan saw Jesus' love, goodness and power change many lives.

Dan studied Divinity at Aberdeen specialising in the New Testament. He served his probabtion at St Columbus Church, Bridge of Don, where he was ordained. During this time his son Alasdair was born. Three years later daughter Shona was born. Shona has Cystic Fibrosis which means there are times when she is very unwell. Thankfully she has also known much good health.

Dan was an associate minister in Kincorth and Cove (the South of Aberdeen) for a number of years, again seeing Jesus transforming lives and bringing hope.

Dan is now the minister at Davidson's Mains Parish Church joining us in March 2016. Dan is very excited about what God is doing in and through the church, the community and the city. The family are enjoying life in Edinburgh very much.
