O God beyond all praising,

we worship you today

and sing the love amazing

that songs cannot repay;

for we can only wonder

at every gift you send,

at blessings without number

and mercies without end;

we lift our hearts before you

and wait upon your word,

we honour and adore you,

our great and mighty Lord.

2. Then hear, O gracious Saviour,

accept the love we bring,

that we  who know your favour

 may serve you as our King;

and whether our tomorrows

be filled with good or ill,

we’ll triumph through our sorrows

and rise to bless you still,

to marvel at your beauty

and glory in your ways,

and make a  joyful duty

our sacrifice of praise.

3. Ascribe to God the three in one

all glory, power and might,

we greet our Saviour, Christ the son,

we’ll praise him in the height;

and to the Holy Spirit

we’ll bend our stubborn will,

no gift may we inhibit

but every grace instill:

we lift our hearts before you

and wait upon your word,

we honour and adore you,

our great and mighty Lord.

God made me as I am,
part of creation’s plan.
No one else can ever be
the part of God’s plan that’s me.

Bernadette Farrell (b1957)

We are His children,

the fruit of his suff’ring,

saved and redeemed by his blood.

Called to be holy, a light to the nations;

clothed with his pow’r, filled with his love.

Go forth in his name, proclaiming’Jesus reigns!’

Now is the time for the church to arise and proclaim him,

‘Jesus, Saviour, Redeemer and Lord’.

(Repeat)

Countless the souls

that are stumbling in darkness,

why do we sleep in the light?

Jesus commands us to go make disciples,

this is our cause, this is the fight.

Listen, the wind of the Spirit is blowing,

the end of the age is so near.

Pow’rs in the earth

and the heavens are shaking,

Jesus our Lord soon shall appear.

From the squalor of a borrowed stable

by the Spirit and a virgin’s faith:

to the anguish and the shame of scandal

came the Saviour of the human race!

But the skies were filled with the praise of heaven,

shepherds listen as the angels tell

of the gift of God come down to man

at the dawning of Immanuel.

King of heaven now the friend of sinners,

humble servant in the Father’s hands,

filled with power and the Holy Spirit,

filled with mercy for the broken man.

Yes, he walked my road and he felt my pain,

joys and sorrows that I know so well:

yet his righteous steps give me hope again –

I will follow my Immanuel!

Through the kisses of a friend’s betrayal,

he was lifted on a cruel cross:

he was punished for a world’s transgressions,

he was suffering to save the lost.

He fights for breath, he fights for me,

loosing sinners from the claims of hell;

and with a shout our souls are free –

death defeated by Immanuel!

Now he’s standing in the place of honour,

crowned with glory on the highest throne,

interceding for his own beloved

till his Father calls to bring them home!

Then the skies will part as the trumpet sounds

hope of heaven or the fear of hell;

but the bride will run to her lover’s arms,

giving glory to Immanuel!

There is a Redeemer,

Jesus, God’s own Son,

Precious Lamb of God, Messiah,

Holy One.

Thank You, O my Father,

for giving us Your Son,

and leaving Your Spirit

till the work on earth is done.

Jesus, my Redeemer,

name above all names,

precious Lamb of God, Messiah,

O for sinners slain:

Thank You ...

When I stand in glory

I will see His face,

and there I’ll serve my King for ever

in that Holy Place.

Thank You ...

As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longs after You.
You alone are my heart's desire and I long to worship You.

You alone are my strength, my shield, to You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my heart's desire and I long to worship You.

2. I want You more than gold or silver, only You can satisfy.
You alone are the real joy-giver and the apple of my eye.

3. You're my Friend and You are my Brother, even though You are a King.
I love You more than any other, so much more than anything.

Take my life, and let it be

all you purpose, Lord, for me;

consecrate my passing days,

let them flow in ceaseless praise.

2. Take my hands, and let them move

at the impulse of your love,

take my feet, and let them run

with the news of victory won.

3. Take my voice, and let me sing

always, only, for my King.

take my lips, let them proclaim

all the beauty of your name.

4. Take my wealth – all I possess,

make me rich in faithfulness;

take my mind that I may use

every power as you shall choose.

5. Take my motives and my will,

all your purpose to fulfil;

take my heart – it is your own,

it shall be your royal throne.

6. Take my love – my Lord, I pour

at your feet its treasure-store.

take myself, and I will be

yours for all eternity.

6.30pm

God is our refuge and our strength,

In straits a present aid;

Therefore, although the earth remove,

We will not be afraid;

2. Though hills amidst the seas be cast;

Though waters roaring make,

And troubled be; yea, though the hills

By swelling seas do shake.

3. A river is, whose streams make glad

The city of our God,

The holy place, wherein the Lord

Most high hath his abode.

4. God in the midst of her doth dwell;

Nothing shall her remove;

God unto her an helper will,

And that right early, prove.

5. To Father, son, and Holy Ghost,

The God whom we adore,

Be glory, as it was, and is,

And shall be evermore.  Amen.

CH3 Ps 46, vv1–5

Over all the earth

you reign on high,

every mountain stream, every sunset sky.

But my one request, Lord, my only aim

is that you’d reign in me again.

Lord, reign in me, reign in your power;

over all my dreams, in my darkest hour.

You are the Lord of all I am,

so won’t you reign in me again.

Over every thought, over every word,

may my life reflect the beauty of my Lord;

‘cause you mean more to me

than any earthly thing.

So won’t you reign in me again.

Lord, reign in me, reign in your power;

over all my dreams, in my darkest hour.

You are the Lord of all I am,

so won’t you reign in me again.

WT 342 Brenton Brown © 1998 Vineyard Songs

Rejoice, rejoice!  Christ is in you

the hope of glory in our hearts.

He lives, He lives!  His breath is in you.

Arise!  A mighty army we arise!

Now is the time for us to march upon the land

into our hands He will give the ground we claim;

He rides in majesty to lead us into victory

the world shall see that Christ is Lord

Rejoice, rejoice ...

2. God is at work in us, His purpose to perform —

building a kingdom of power not of words:

where things impossible by faith shall be made possible:

let’s give the glory to Him now.

Rejoice, rejoice ....

3. Though we are weak, His grace is everything we need —

we’re made of clay, but this treasure is within;

He turns our weaknesses into His opportunities,

so that the glory goes to Him.

Rejoice, rejoice ....

the hope of glory in our hearts.

He lives, He lives!  His breath is in you.

Arise!  A mighty army we arise!

We arise!  We arise!  We arise!

And can it be that I should gain

an interest in the Saviour's blood?

Died he for me, who caused his pain;

for me, who him to death pursued?

Amazing love, how can it be

that thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

He left his Father's throne above

so free, so infinite his grace;

emptied himself of all but love,

and bled for Adam's helpless race.

'Tis mercy all, immense and free;

for, O my God, it found out me.

Long my imprisoned spirit lay

fast bound in sin and nature's night:

thine eye diffused a quickening ray;

I woke the dungeon flamed with light.

My chains fell off, my heart was free;

I rose, went forth, and followed thee.

No condemnation now I dread;

Jesus, and all in him, is mine!

Alive in him, my living head,

and clothed in righteousness divine,

bold I approach the eternal throne

and claim the crown through Christ my own.

CMP 33 Words: Charles Wesley;  Music: Thomas Campbell

Soldiers of Christ! arise,

And put your armour on,

Strong in the strength which God supplies

Through his eternal Son;

Strong in the Lord of hosts,

And in his mighty power;

Who in the strength of Jesus trusts

Is more than conqueror.

2. Stand, then, in his great might,

With all his strength endued;

And take, to arm you for the fight,

The panoply of God.

To keep your armour bright

Attend with constant care,

Still walking in your Captain’s sight,

And watching unto prayer.

3. From strength to strength go on;

Wrestle, and fight, and pray;

Tread all the powers of darkness down,

And win the well-fought day, –

That, having all things done,

And all your conflicts passed,

Ye may o’ercome through Christ alone,

And stand complete at last.
